The Role

Do you fancy working 26 weeks of the year, with a full-time salary and benefits?

We are looking for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and experienced team at Medivet 24 Hour Southend.

This role requires a Veterinary Surgeon who wants to work within a busy hospital. There will also be a Nurse and Patient Care Assistant on site during night shifts to provide support.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Clinician who is confident in dealing with a wide range of surgical and medical emergencies. You should be confident working sole charge also.

Night shift experience is desirable but not essential.

This is a full time position, working 49 hours a week. The shift times are 7pm - 9am on a 7 days on 7 days off shift pattern.

The Branch

The equipment and services at 24 Hour Southend includes flexible and rigid endoscopy, a well equipped in-house laboratory (including blood gases and clotting profiles), a high spec ultrasound machine, CT imaging and digital x-ray. This hospital has a strong team of vets with broad skill range and high level of nursing care, as well as a supportive and expereinced team of Nurses and Care Assistants.

The practice is based next to London Southend Airport. It is also a 15 minute drive away from the famous Southend Pier, which is surrounded by a multitude of shops, restaurants, bars and shopping centres - some of which are included in our retail benefits!
