A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our 4 vet Medivet Ramsbottom branch in Bury, Greater Manchester due to our current assistant relocating.

Working alongside Kay and Ian our very experienced branch partners, you would be fully supported in your role and part of a team committed to providing excellent client and patient care. Both branch partners are enrolled on the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice. Our practice has a friendly client base who appreciate the personal service we provide.

This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with at least two years’ experience, looking for the support needed to further their career. The role will function in an environment where colleagues support each other by sharing skills and knowledge, to give our patients the best outcomes. The successful candidate will have great communication skills and will be confident with routine surgery and diagnostics.

This role is 39 hours a week, including 1:3 weekends. The hours are spread over a 4-day week, offering a great work life balance.

  • Vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500
  • £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave
  • VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

Branch
Ramsbottom is a busy, first opinion veterinary practice situated in the middle of the town so lots of places to eat and shops very close by with close links to Manchester and 30 mins from Manchester airport. Situated in a rural location there is lots of lovely countryside on the doorstep, with the peak district and lake district within an hours drive. 

Equipment of the branch include: ECG/X-Ray/Ultrasound/Operating theatre.

We are fully equipped to carry out medical workups and surgical procedures and you would be fully supported by our team of vets and nurses.
