The Role

We are looking for a friendly and supportive qualified/experienced Night Student/Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team based in our 24 Hour hospital in Sutton.

This position would suit a nurse that has experience working in a small animal practice and is now seeking a new challenge where they can develop their skill set. There will be plenty of support provided as they would work alongside our experienced Night Veterinary Surgeon.

The ideal candidate will offer the highest standards of clinical and client care and be willing to provide valuable peer support to patient care assistants.

This position is for a nurse who is either newly qualified or is about to qualify (third year student).

The shift pattern for this role is 7 nights on 7 nights off, 8pm-8am. This role covers 42 hours per week.

You must be either a:

• Registered Veterinary Nurse who has recently qualified
• Student Veterinary Nurse who is about to qualify (third year student) and is currently enrolled in college

The Branch

Medivet 24 Hour Sutton has recently been refurnished and is rightfully proud of its ISFM Gold Cat Friendly status, as the practice possesses separate dog and cat waiting areas, consult rooms and kennels. This practice also has all of the usual toys, including onsite ultrasound, endoscopy, laboratory equipment and dental radiography.

The team consists of three experienced Vets (including an Advanced Practitioner in Medicine and a Surgery Certificate Holder), six Nurses and three support staff.

This branch is based a 8 minute walk away from Sutton station, which has great transport links to London and is around the corner from shopping centres, restaurants and bars! Medivet Sutton is also a 10 minute drive from Grove Park, a popular public park with a lovely waterfall, which is part of the Carshalton Conservation Area.
