A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Medical Vet to join our friendly and loyal team in our 24 Hour Hospital Alder. Our practice has a friendly client base who appreciate the personal service we provide. Main areas of this position is to provide high quality care for the inpatients whilst maintaining the relationship with referring veterinary surgeons. This vacancy would suit somebody who has just finished or is working towards a medicine certificate.

You will have a fantastic team around you for support which includes 1 soft tissue surgeon, 2 orthopaedic surgeons and imaging vet and a dedicated night team. 

This is a newly refurbished hospital in Alder with high quality equipment installed which includes a CT scanner. 

This role would be a daytime role, 4 days a week. You will provide high quality medical treatment to all hospitalised patients whilst maintaining good working relationships with our referring vets. 

What you'll bring to the team? You must be an experienced vet with a client-oriented approach and excellent communication skills, work to a very high standard both medically and surgically and have the drive and ambition to help develop this practice further.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years' UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and would suit someone who is very close to finishing a medical certificate. 

This role requires a motivated vet to work confidently in a busy environment with the ability to make sound clinical judgement. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary £55,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience

• Accommodation allowance of £6,600

• Vehicle or £2,500 vehicle allowance

• £1,500 CPD allowance with 3 days CPD leave

• VDS, RCVS, BVA fees paid

• 5 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays
