We are looking for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to work a 4 day working week (Full Time). Looking for Part Time work? We can also consider this as an option. We are looking for a Vet with experience. Recent grads also welcome to apply.
We are a 100% small animal practice in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. We are looking for someone to work alongside our small friendly team of Vets. We can support both part time and full time work patterns with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings with time off in Lieu and no OOH.
The surgery offers everything a modern, well equipped clinic needs including 15 minute appointments, digital x-ray, Ultrasound, piped oxygen, one spacious theatre and a dental x-ray along with dental equipment.
Our friendly team consists of 4 Nurses including 2 other skilled Vets and a Practice Manager who will support you in this role.
Sutton-In-Ashfield is close to charming Nottinghamshire countryside and is 12 miles north of Nottingham.

The practice was founded in 1999 by the current Principal Veterinary Surgeon, Mr Francis Flynn MVB MRCVS. Shannon Lodge was initially established in a small premises nearby in Outram Street, Sutton-In-Ashfield, but within a couple of years the practice’s success required that a larger premises was needed.
The practice moved to Kirkby Folly Road in Sutton-In-Ashfield in 2002. These premises required extensive internal renovation from a car-spraying retail outlet to the modern, spacious well equipped veterinary practice found today. Further extensions were completed in 2008 due to continual growth of the practice. The building now provides a large reception area, 4 consulting rooms, a modern and well equipped theatre, a separate xray and ultrasound room, large prep area for undertaking clinical procedures, in-house laboratory, kennels and separate isolation unit. In addition staff accommodation is available on-site.
The practice team has grown from a sole veterinary practitioner to a well qualified and experienced veterinary team consisting of three full-time veterinary surgeons, three qualified veterinary nurses, two nursing assistants/receptionists and a practice manager.
The practice has achieved small animal General Practice status in the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme in recognition of the standard of veterinary care and facilities provided at Shannon Lodge.
