Head Veterinary Nurse - West Midlands
Are you an organised and proactive nurse looking to further your nursing career and help to drive a practice forward? This may be the job for you!
My client is looking for a head nurse to lead their practices alongside the branch manager and the nurse manager.
The ideal candidate would be able to perform all nursing duties, motivate and lead the team to ensure the smooth running of the practice. To ensure the cleaning gets carried out to hospital standards, organise the stock levels, deal with staff issues, ensure checklists are completed daily/weekly and monthly, keep on top of health and safety alongside the h&s manager and ensure the practice complies to PSS.
They have 8 practices including 2 hospitals, all within the Birmingham area. They have a team of vets (including certificate holders), RVN’s (including certificate holders) and SVN’s, veterinary auxiliaries/clinical support staff, receptionists and admin staff. They encourage their nurses to use their nursing skills to their full potential in all areas of nursing - theatre, inpatients, laboratory and consultations.
