We are looking for an additional vet to join our first opinion team. Our facilities and motivated owners enable us to deliver a superb standard of care to Staffordshire’s pets.

The practice:
Lime Trees Vets has two sites – an RCVS-accredited veterinary hospital (Meir Park) and a general practice (Cheadle). Four first opinion and three dedicated referral vets work alongside 13 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 2 veterinary care assistants. Case continuity is encouraged, but our referral colleagues are always on hand to help and share their skills. We have all the equipment you’d expect in a referral hospital and stand-alone clinic, including fortnightly access to MRI and CT.

Location description:
Meir Park is located just off of the A50 on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent – an ideal location, with both city life and idyllic countryside just a stone’s throw away, and easy links to the M6 and M1. Cheadle is just 10 minutes from the hospital in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands.

The role:
We are looking for a forward-thinking vet who will thrive within our team; a vet whose ethos is quality, not quantity. We want you to enjoy building relationships with our clients and their pets, and be confident in explaining the value of your treatment recommendations.

Successful candidate:
The successful candidate will work a 44-hour week, with an afternoon start and two early finishes. One day a week is sole-charge at Cheadle, while weekends are 1:3 Saturdays until lunchtime. Appointment slots are 15 to 30 minutes, allowing us the time we want to give to our patients and clients. No out-of-hours duties are required – Vets Now Stoke is based at our Meir Park hospital. We have a close relationship with the Vets Now team, meaning we can hospitalise our patients and sleep at night.

The package:
The package includes a substantial CPD budget, company pension and RCVS/VDS/BVA/BSAVA fees paid. The salary is generous and reflects experience, starting at £36,000 for a two-year qualified vet.
