Job Details
We are in need of an experienced and passionate veterinary surgeon to join our wonderful practice in Standish. The successful applicant must have good prior experience and be a confident GP vet, although individual interests are encouraged and fully supported.
A sociable rota is offered with a 4-day working week and a 1-in-4 Saturdays with no OOHs. Established in 1985 by husband and wife team, Pamela and Steve Gilmore, the practice has been committed to the care and treatment of small animals in and around Standish & Wigan for many years. The experience and expertise the practice is able to offer is second to none with modern facilities, fully qualified vets and fully qualified nursing staff; over the years it has well deserved its position as the foremost practice in the Wigan area.
Our dedicated team aim to give a friendly, first class service with value for money. We pride ourselves in giving individual care to each patient and client. The practice remains in its original premises situated in the heart of Standish on the main A49 road between Wigan and Preston. Adequate parking is provided behind the surgery with easy pedestrian access down the side of the premises.
We also work closely with the RSPCA Wigan and Northern Greyhound Rescue in the treatment and rehoming of abandoned animals and regularly organise fund raising events.
