Night Veterinary Surgeon- Wokingham
Do you fancy working 26 weeks of the year on an attractive 7 nights on, 7 nights off rota (18:30pm to 8:30am shifts) with a full-time salary and benefits?
Based in Berkshire with excellent transport links, our newly refurbished Wokingham hospital is looking for dedicated night vet.
The clinic is the central hub of a close-knit group of 9 practices including multiple certificate holders and a well-established client base. The branch sees a very mixed caseload, usually at least one orthopaedic case a day, several ultrasounds a week both for out and in-patients and the usual mix of medical cases. The hospital is well-equipped with state of the art facilities such as digital x-ray and ultrasound.
Wokingham is currently a 5-vet practice with 7 supportive nurses and a Reception team of 3. Our branch partner David has an orthopaedic certificate and we also have a vet currently studying towards the improve certificate in Small Animal Medicine Advanced Practitioner.
Ideally you will be an experienced vet with a real passion for emergency and critical care who enjoys working to a gold standard. From November 2019 the Hospital will transition to a full 24-hour service, until then Wokingham will only receive emergencies until 10pm and thereafter will be solely inpatient work.
You will benefit from on call support and this is a wonderful opportunity to get to grips with emergency work. In addition, you would be actively encouraged to pursue a certificate in ECC.
All our clinics share the same software so you will have full access to the patients’ history at all times; case continuity guaranteed!
