Veterinary Surgeon (Maternity Cover) - Aberdeenshire

Our client is looking for an experienced Vet to join them for maternity cover. Full time or part time hours will be considered.

They offer a varied and exciting caseload with compliant clients, vets are always surprised how much their clients take advice forward. With a fantastic support team that are very proactive in ensuring that the vet’s days run smoothly along with really good support from qualified RVN's.

For a small practice, it is well equipped with a great box of toys including a really good ultrasound (training provided if needed). The practice also has endoscope and bronchoscope, K-laser (used every day in surgery), in house diagnostics Microscope, Idexx lab equipment, digital viewer for our x-rays and the usual anaesthetic equipment.

The practice believes that good communication is fundamental to a fantastic team – frequent team meetings are built into the diary. Appointments are kept aside for ‘on the day’ use, and contingency built in to allow for the unexpected! By appreciating the importance of time away from work they have built a rota to give adequate time off – our whole team works hard to protect this.

Doing their own on call, handled by an answering service, this is not a heavy workload with only occasional call outs to surgery. One in four weekends (working up to one in five). Help can be provided, if needed, to find accommodation nearby.
