Lead Veterinary Surgeon - West Yorkshire

Our client is a 13 site first opinion practice with the central hub being at their busy Tier 3 Hospital. The ethos is clinical excellence and they try and live by core values. Client and patient care is at the heart of what they do.

They are looking for a vet to take the lead at one of their branches. This particular branch is growing quickly with friendly, bonded clients. Consults are sole charge 08.30 - 10.30 and 16.00 - 18.00 (potentially one late night 16.00 - 19.30 in exchange for an early finish another day), with operating time at their busy Surgery, alongside 2-3 other vets in between.

The employer encourages its vets to undertake certificates and within the practice have 6 cert holders and another 6 working towards one, covering surgery, medicine, imaging, cardiology and derm. holding regular clinical clubs, including monthly ones with their sister sites and their Specialist led team. As well as all this they also provide regular lunchtime CPD sessions and are on hand to provide case advice over the phone, teleradiology and referral when needed.

There is a strong belief in work:life balance - the vets work a 40 hour week over 3.5 days/1 in 4 weekends and so have a full day and a half off each week. The employer firmly believes everyone should have a lunch break and everyone should expect to leave on time.
