Applications are invited to the position of full-time Lecturer within the Veterinary & Animal Sciences Department of the South & West Faculty of SRUC, based at the Barony Campus near Dumfries.

During the Programme/Team Leader (PTL) tenure, the successful applicant will work with the Head of Department and play a key role in managing the team in the planning, preparation and delivery of high quality education and training provision in a range of Veterinary Nursing and related subjects.

Applicants for this role should possess a relevant academic qualification and be a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS), have good experience of both the Veterinary Nursing profession and working in the further/higher education sector.

This is a full-time fixed term appointment which includes the potential to be offered as a PTL secondment for a total period of up to 5 years.

Initially the successful applicant will have Programme Team Leader responsibilities, which attracts a higher salary scale and the associated terms and conditions for the period of the tenure. On completion of the tenure the salary and terms and conditions will change to the Barony Lecturer terms and conditions.
