Company

Torbridge Veterinary Group is based in Devon and has practices in Bideford, South Molton and Torrington.

Our aim is to always provide the highest possible standards of treatment and care for our clients' animals, to maintain continuity of care, and provide modern hospital standard facilities to ensure rapid and accurate diagnoses around the clock using experienced staff.

Much of our work is arranged by appointment, but we handle emergencies both during the normal working day and as part of our twenty-four hour, 365 days a year service.

EXPERTISE

At Torbridge Veterinary Group we place great emphasis on preventative medicine at our surgeries in order that clinical concerns can be addressed promptly, invariably securing a better outcome for our clients' animals. Our team is made up from enthusiastic vets, who have extensive experience and further qualifications including Royal College Certificates in Small Animal Surgery and qualifications in feline practice. We have specialist vets in in opthalmology and cardiology and an ongoing programme of training in other fields of medicine and surgery for all our staff. This indicates our commitment to exceptional levels of service and expertise.

We are a training practice for veterinary nurses. Our nurses achieve very good exam results and continue to gain additional qualifications after their nursing training. We have nurses with keen interests and certificates in areas such as feline behaviour and canine rehabilitation. Nurses not only assist the veterinary surgeons in the treatments of pets, but hold their own clinics advising on such areas as nutrition and puppy and kitten care.

Our Bideford site is a Hospital, to obtain this status we have had to achieve a large number of high standards set out by The Royal College and gone through many assessments.

By being a hospital site it means that a fully trained member of our nursing team is on site through the night along with a veterinary surgeon to see to any emergency case. They also care for the pets who have had to stay in the hospital overnight for treatments and observation.

FRIENDLY

We pride ourselves on our personal service tailored to suit your needs; with clients often building a relationship with one particular vet who they will normally see and work closely with. We regularly organise classes, training events and meetings throughout the year. We operate a no compromise policy on our service standards. We always try to accomodate our clients’ veterinary needs whether it’s an emergency, routine call or our freely available telephone advice.
