Senior Clinical Vet Surgeon - Solihull

608 Vet Practice is a progressive small animal practice based in Solihull, West Midlands, and have long respected the value and contribution of our experienced part-time colleagues. We have an excellent case load and encourage clinical freedom, but with mutual support from colleagues when needed. We’re looking for a confident Senior Clinical Vet Surgeon with a passion for clinical excellence and developing others. Reporting to the Clinical Directors, you will provide ongoing support in the running of the practice, ensuring clinical protocols are delivered and maintained. 

A full time role can also be considered.

The Practice
Clinical development is important here, so we offer 5 days paid CPD (pro rata), plus additional allocation for managerial progression - including the opportunity to enter a dedicated Clinical Director development scheme.

Our excellent, friendly support team includes multiple RVNs, in-house laboratory with qualified technician, and an on-site, dedicated out of hours emergency night time team. The new position of Senior Clinical Surgeon will play a key role in the further development and clinical management of the practice and our staff.

The Role
Reporting to the Clinical Directors, our Senior Clinical Vet would provide ongoing support in the provision of excellent patient services. They would assist in the efficient running of the practice and ensure all communication and clinical protocols are delivered and maintained. Leading by example and practising high standards of service for 608 Vet Practice clients and care through examination, medical and surgical treatment of their animals. Supporting and maintaining a good working atmosphere, showing respect for all staff and leading the professional team for all animals under our care.

Successful Candidate
A successful candidate would be progressive and enthusiastic; keen to uphold the reputation, care and standards of the Practice as we progress.  They should have a positive and supportive approach to all other colleagues. Clinical, organisation and communication skills should be of a high standard, and continue to develop.

The Package

• A proposed 3 or 4 day working week
