Veterinary Surgeon - Hertfordshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our clients small animal practice. They are seeking an enthusiastic, vet to join their friendly team.

Due to the experience within their existing team. They can consider applications from newly qualified vets as well as experienced vets. If you are an experienced vet, you will need to have good general surgical and medical skills with experience of working up cases to a high standard. They see a wide variety of cases and perform soft tissue surgery and most orthopaedics in house.They offer state of the art equipment including in house lab (full haematology, biochemistry and electrolytes) feline blood pressure machine, pulse oximeter, digital x-ray, Doppler colour ultrasound, dentistry machine and orthopaedic equipment.

By joining their supportive team you will be part of a team of 9 people (2 vets, 1 practice manager, 1 registered nurse, 2 student nurses, 1 care assistant and 2 receptionists). The whole team is dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care. This role plays a key part within a small, friendly team so the ideal candidate will need to be adaptable, flexible and a good team player.

This is a full-time role consisting of 4 days per week with one weekday off every week. There is a weekend rota of 1 in 2 Saturdays (9am-2pm and normally, consults only) and no OOH ensuring a great work/life balance.
