Westpoint Farm Vets are looking for an experienced production animal vet to join our busy, friendly team who are looking to expand. 
 
The practice has a strong preventative medicine bias, with a proactive client base, keen on health planning and disease management. We have a varied case load, with a true mixture of dairy, beef, sheep and small holders.
 
We are looking for a vet who shares our proactive ethos. As part of Westpoint, the role provides huge scope to develop both clinically: through supported time on farm and involvement in the clinical working groups; but also professionally, with the potential for management responsibilities for the right applicant. We strive for clinical excellence and push ourselves to use evidence-based medicine wherever possible.
 
The practice is based on the border of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, just 40 minutes from to London by train, with easy access to the rest of the country by road. We are a small, friendly team of 5 vets, supported by the national team of 80.
 
We’re more than happy to consider applicants wanting to work part time, to complement our current part time employees. Normal working hours are 8-5 (30 mins lunch), max of 1 in 3 rota, expected 1 in 5 with days off in lieu of weekends worked.
 
Benefits of the role include a salary £28,000-£42,000 depending on experience, pension scheme and childcare vouchers. BCVA membership, RCVS fees and VDS cover are paid. Company car and phone included. We have a generous CPD allowance and certificates/further qualifications are actively encouraged and funded, as we strongly believe in investing in our staff’s development.
