Veterinary Surgeon - East London

The practice is a well-established, busy animal rescue charity based in East London who have recently undergone major development. They provide care for abandoned, stray and unwanted animals across the South East and offer low-cost services to clients on a low income to ensure companion animals receive the care they deserve. They are extremely busy and require a Veterinary Surgeon (SA) who will thrive in this environment.

ROLE:
Shifts vary between 8am - 4.30pm/9am - 5.30pm/11am - 7.30pm/1pm - 9pm and 9am - 12pm.
One week night in call per 7 weeks nights (Monday to Friday), and one 24 hour on call only shift (either Saturday or Sunday 9am-9am) once a month. The overnight is a sleeping shift so you are not required to be up all night.

Days off in lieu of weekend work too!

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years plus experience, must be able to do sole charge when on call (one in 7) including surgeries such as foreign bodies, pyos and caesareans. Needs a basic level of orthopaedics, good soft tissue surgery skills and experience of emergency and critical care.
