An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced vet to lead the team and make their mark in this independent, friendly and successful clinic in a vibrant area of North East London. The practice benefits from great transport links; being just 2 minutes’ walk from the overground and 20 minutes door-to-door from both Oxford Circus and the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.

We have a very happy working environment, as well as wonderful, bonded clients. We pride ourselves on the level of service we offer our clients, and always work to the highest standards. You would be fully supported by our highly motivated team. Jason, our senior nurse, who is responsible for most of the administration, also has a certificate in ECC, is a clinical coach and a pet health councellor.

The practice benefits from the most recent comprehensive in -house Idexx lab suite, digital and dental x-ray and we happy to support vets with their individual interests. The role is ideally 4 and ½ days a week but has the potential to be 4-day week with every Thursday off. Saturdays are 1:2. There is no overnight work. We would love you to support our hospital colleagues at our RCVS accredited tier 3 hospital in Wanstead on a 1:8 Sunday day time rota. Wanstead has fantastic facilities including a state-of-the-art CT, excellent ultrasound, scopes, dental x-ray and an array of specialists and provides a great environment to develop your ECC skills. The branch role is sole charge but is fully supported by the Wanstead team.

Our ideal candidate is someone with at least two years’ experience and will have a passion for all aspects of first opinion veterinary practice and will have a great track record of fostering strong relationships with their clients.

In return we can offer an excellent and competitive salary in the region of £50-£60K plus a generous CPD allowance of £2000. The Goddard Veterinary Group sees CPD as an investment in the individual as well as for the practice, and is also keen to fund and support study for certificate qualifications above our standard package.

We have great benefits; including increasing holiday allowance (up to 6 weeks!), BUPA private health insurance as well as cash back / refunds on many routine medical costs such as dental care, physiotherapy, optician, chiropody fees etc., plus generous shopping and leisure discounts. Spacious accommodation is also available if required.
