The practice
We are an independent RCVS accredited first opinion Small Animal Hospital based in a beautiful part of the Cheshire countryside with great transport links to Manchester, Liverpool and Chester. We are a young, dynamic practice, committed to providing the highest standards of care to our patients and clients. Our reputation has been built on 'word of mouth' recommendations and finding the right person to join our team really matters to us.   

We provide high standards of care with digital x-ray, ultrasonography, dental x-ray, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, laparoscopy and in-house laboratory facilities. Visiting specialists provide an additional level of support and a chance to be involved with referral level cases. We see a varied small animal case load with responsive and keen clients.

The role
We are looking for an additional vet to join our four veterinary surgeons – comprising of three certificate holders of which two are advanced practitioners. We have a dedicated nursing team of nine RVN's (three certificate holders) and two SVN's providing 24-hour nursing care to our patients. Our administration staff of three receptionists and one practice manager completes our small and friendly centre.

Successful candidate
We are looking for someone who is hard working, enthusiastic and willing to go the extra mile for their patients, their clients and their colleagues. In return we will provide a supportive environment with an opportunity to discuss cases at daily clinical rounds attended by all the veterinary surgeons. Some experience preferred, but most importantly we need a team player with enthusiasm and a desire to work to exceptional standards.

The package:
The position offers the equivalent of a 3.5 day week with a 1 in 8 rota, a set day off each week, half a day off either side of a night or weekend on-call and an additional day in lieu for weekend work. CPD is actively encouraged and funded, with scope to undertake a certificate in the future if desired.  Salary £30-50k commensurate with experience, plus memberships, CPD and pension. On site accommodation for the out of hours work is available.
