Veterinary Surgeon – Part Time (30.5 hours) – Bradford

An exciting opportunity has come up for a veterinary surgeon to join our busy Bradford practice. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Vet to get stuck into a growing business and make their mark.

Bradford is based in West Yorkshire in the foothills of the Pennines, 8 miles west of Leeds and 16 miles north west of Wakefield. Situated in the heart of the busy town, the surgery prides itself on delivering excellent client and animal care.

Our bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including dedicated operating theatre, digital x-ray, Idexx in-house laboratory, ultrasound and dentistry facilities. We are a progressive practice and have ambitions to provide world class clinical care at the very heart of our community and we need great people to join our team to help us realise this vision.              

Person Specification

We’re looking for a part time, experienced Vet who will be working up to 30.5 hours per week Mon/Tues/Fri - 9am-7pm and either 1/2 or 1/3 Saturdays 9am-4pm  (this would work out as either part time at an average of 28.75 hours per period with 1/3 weekends or 30.5 hours average per period with 1/2 weekends) but we can be flexible on these hours.

You’ll need to feel comfortable doing sole charge and be skilled medically and surgically. Cardiology and orthopaedic surgery is done here as well as the more routine work you might expect. Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills along with a demonstrable passion for your chosen career and a cheerful can do attitude would be perfect.
