Veterinary Surgeon (Full time or part time/job share) - Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey

The Practice
We are a long-established, rare example of an independent group practice (part of the John Ball group of practices), and Ditton Reach Veterinary Surgery is a traditional-style small surgery, equipped with the usual gadgets so as to be a self-contained one vet practice. Situated in leafy Thames Ditton, between Kingston and Esher, we enjoy a very nice clientele plus long established, helpful staff. All vets who have ever worked here have commented how lovely it is, with a comfortable, laid-back feel.

Location
Thames Ditton is in an excellent location, situated close to Esher, Hinchley Wood, Surbiton & Kingston-upon-Thames. The practice is close to the A3, with easy access to Wimbledon and London to the north and Guildford and Portsmouth to the south.

The Role
As this is a sole-charge position, we do require a veterinary surgeon with experience, competence and confidence – plus a good sense of humour too! It is an ideal opportunity to take a practice under your wing, work up your own cases, make your own mark and build on what is already a successful base.

We would like to view this as a long-term opportunity for someone who is looking to settle down in the area, or maybe someone ready to go back to work after a break.

There is no out-of-hours work whatsoever, as we are linked to the excellent services of North Surrey Veterinary Emergencies. The working day will be from 8.30am until 7pm on weekdays and 8.30 until approx. 11am on Saturdays, and can be either three or four weekdays per week, plus some Saturday mornings. Currently the position works as 4 full days per week (Wednesdays off) plus most Saturday mornings, but we could offer flexibility towards 3 full weekdays plus the Saturdays. Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be experienced (min 3-5 years), self-sufficient, capable, amiable, and excellent with clients, pets and staff alike. Someone who loves their job and is keen to work with clients for the health and care of their pets.

The Package
A competitive salary dependent on experience, plus VDS cover and BVA membership if required. The possibility of partnership for the right person in the future. A self-contained flat close to Kingston town centre is available if required.
