RVN - Devon
An exciting new opening has been introduced by my clients at their Veterinary Hospital in Devon. Great work-life balance for a qualified RVN to expand their small but fabulous team in South Devon which is home to a first opinion small animal practice and a referral service for Ophthalmology, Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Surgery (to include laparoscopy), Dentistry, CT imaging and Cardiology. They have a fully equipped purpose built facility with new CT, ultrasound and Endoscopy suite.
Nurses participate in all areas of their different referral modalities. My clients strive to maintain high standards of care and nurture any interests that the nurses have and encompass it where they can in practice. They pride Themselves in offering excellent support for all new staff and students.
The practice consists of 6 permanent on site vets with visiting referral cardiology and dental teams plus a visiting physiotherapist. Whilst they are looking to expand the nursing team, they currently have five qualified RVN’s, one student and one ANA.

Nurses work on a shift basis each shift with a different role to include kennels, prep, dirty ops and theatres and then lab and clinics are allocated each day to ensure everyone gets variety of roles and skills used. The shift pattern is designed to promote a great work-life balance, allowing for a day off before and after a night shift and allowing a day off following a half weekend on call.
This position offers a good opportunity for learning and growth with full support from experienced qualified RVN’s and referral specialists.
