Night Veterinary Surgeon – Alder Hospital, Merseyside

Our Alder Hospital is undergoing a major refurbishment to turn it into a state of the art venue. This busy and well established hospital is fully equipped with in-house laboratory, separate cat and dog wards, ECG, ultrasound, orthopaedic theatre, digital x-rays, endoscopy and soon its own CT.

It hosts Liverpool's Veterinary Emergency Service, providing a dedicated out-of-hours service to our own 13 clinics, as well as a number of external practices.

Liverpool is a vibrant city which has the benefits of having a stunning coastline and has been previously nominated as a European Capital of Culture. Liverpool has two successful premiership football teams which makes for great weekend entertainment. If you are looking for a looking to relocate to Liverpool you will be happy to know it has an international airport which also makes it a perfect location for weekend breaks.

The role:

We can offer a variety of shift patterns working only 26 weeks of the year and a package with commission of up to £78k!

Remuneration package:

Package up to £78.000, depending on experience • Generous CPD allowance and in-house CPD training • Fantastic career progression and partnership opportunities • Bonus schemes • Company vehicle or allowance • Accommodation allowance • 18 nights holiday plus bank holidays • VDS, RCVS and BVA fees paid

Skills and experience:

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience and enjoys working on emergency cases. Competency with night emergency work and surgery is essential.
