Are you an experienced vet who would like clinical freedom and a 4-day week? If you are based in the West Midlands and want to work in a hospital environment, then this role may be what you were looking for.

The Practice

This tier 3 hospital is a training practice which is fully equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, various scopes, dental radiography, CO2 laser, laparoscopic equipment, CT scanner and a 1.5T MRI scanner arriving soon.

You can work your cases up to a high standard and working alongside a brilliant team of vets some of which have certificates will ensure your individual progression.

There is also a close working relationship with the referral side of the practice.

The Role 

As an experienced vet surgeon, you will be highly patient focused, possessing first class communication skills with your clients and colleagues alike. This is an all-round role that will involve consults together with routine 1st opinion surgery based in a busy hospital environment. There will also be some branch work involved so a degree of sole charge experience will be beneficial.

About You 

To be considered as an experienced Vet Surgeon for this role, you’ll be: 

  • RCVS registered


  • At least 1-2 years UK experience in a UK practice, you’ll have experience of working in a busy first opinion environment. Naturally, you are a passionate people person and thrive working as part of a team.

Willingness to expand your clinical skills by undertaking additional courses to further your knowledge of the would also be an advantage. This would be supported by the practice.
