Head Nurse - Derbyshire/Sheffield

We are a busy, RCVS accredited training practice currently operating from two branches in Dronfield and Killamarsh. We offer an attractive package including paid VDS/RCVS/CPD fees, a day off work on your birthday, workplace pension and generous staff discount.

This is a great opportunity to join our friendly and supportive team in one of the last independent local practices. Proven experience in managing a team of people and overseeing protocols is essential.You will work alongside a number of veterinary specialists and certificate holders, as well as having the option to progress in specialised nursing fields. Previous clinical coaching experience would be desirable.

We are looking for experienced, dedicated staff who:

• Are comfortable with fitting into the clinical rota and running nurse clinics, and proficient in laboratory work, inpatient care, anaesthetics and monitoring, and all other general nursing duties.
• Are willing to work at either branch during weekdays, and cover OOH and weekends as part of a 1:7 rota.
• Have an interest in small animal and exotic work

We have an interesting caseload, ranging from routine surgery, orthopaedics, keyhole surgery, laser surgery and endoscopy.

We also have modern, purpose built facilities including a comprehensive in-house laboratory, digital x-ray and diagnostic equipment. Salary is competitive and dependent on experience.
