Equine Veterinary Surgeon – Kent

Opportunity for experienced equine vet (5 years plus) at ambulatory practice in Kent countryside.

The Practice
Milbourn Equine has a large team of dedicated veterinary professionals comprising 10 equine vets. Each has a broad range of interests and is committed to providing excellent care. Its clientele is diverse – ranging from international eventers to jumpers, dressage and reining competitors, and happy hackers. The Ashford site comprises clinic and stabling facilities, while the other branches offer an ambulatory service spanning the lovely countryside.

Location
Hawkhurst is in the Weald of Kent, close to London, South Coast and Gatwick/Channel Tunnel.

The Role
The position is for our ambulatory practice in Hawkhurst, with clinic facilities located at our Ashford site. Our Hawkhurst team comprises of 4 equine vets who are ably assisted by a team of support staff. Our associated small animal practice is based at the same premises.

We have a good range of portable diagnostic equipment including DR, ultrasound, respiratory and gastroscopes, shockwave & motorised dentistry. We have a seasonal variety of work including some AI/stud work.

We can offer a 4 or 5 day week depending on preference but inclusion on our OOH rota would be essential.

Successful Candidate
We need a colleague, 5 years qualified or more, who can enhance our practice ethos of a happy team, healthy horses and satisfied clients.

The successful candidate would be an enthusiastic vet who is happy to work in the ambulatory environment but also be a team player and help support the development of fellow vets at the practice.
