Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - West Midlands

The Practice
Connaught House, an RCVS accredited training practice, boasts excellent facilities, a wealth of varied surgical and medical cases as well as an experienced and professional team of vets and nurses who will provide you with exceptional daily support. We are passionate about delivering outstanding patient care.

Connaught House was established over half a century ago and was one of the first practices in the country to be granted hospital status. We continue to work to follow the highest level of the practice standards scheme, so we can provide the best standard of care for our clients and have recently attained awards in diagnostic service and in-patient service. As well as the hospital in Tettenhall Road, Wolverhampton we also have two friendly branch surgeries located in Kingswinford and Codsall.

The Role
We are looking for a full-time small animal veterinary surgeon to work at our Tier 3 Hospital in Wolverhampton. You will be encouraged to exercise clinical freedom and have the benefit of a fully equipped hospital with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy and in-house laboratory.

You will quickly become part of our dedicated veterinary team, benefit from the experience of knowledgeable Clinical Directors and contribute to a practice that will support you to provide our clients with continuity of care. You will also have the advantage of a remarkable team of veterinary nurses to assist you. Sole charge only during OOH, but you will have a very competent RVN as support and a veterinary surgeon as back up if necessary.

We actively encourage CPD/Certificate training and provide the option of flexible work patterns in the rota (a 4-day week) to promote a healthy work/life balance. Out of house is shares on a 1-in-8 rota with a bonus scheme and time off in lieu.

Successful Candidate
Enthusiastic, dedicated and friendly individual with at least 2 years' experience and a passion for the veterinary profession and improving yourself clinically to fit in with our relaxed yet professional practice.

You will be able to perform basic surgery and assess cases independently.
