Job Details
We are looking for an experienced mixed practitioner to join our team. We are an independent genuinely mixed practice in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands. 1 in 8 on call rota with time off in lieu for weekends and evenings worked. Interesting and varied workloads with all the usual toys and gadgets, including ultrasound, both large and small, endoscope and bull and ram fertility testing equipment. The ideal candidate would have to be keen to join us for our weekly pub lunch on Friday.
The Practice
We are a friendly independent practice in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Location
We are located in a busy market town called Leek.
The Role
The role is a mixed position. The split is around 45% large animal, 45% small animal and 10% equine.

Welcome to Moorland Veterinary Centre. We are a mixed practice (45% Large Animal, 45% Small Animal and 10% Equine) employing ten vets, seven qualified nurses, one trainee nurse, four receptionists, a practice manager and a practice administrator.
We aim for a happy, relaxed atmosphere for clients and staff and we are proud of our traditional values. Our dedicated team aim to give clients a friendly service as well as value for money treatment. We are not part of any large veterinary group. Our building is located beside Brough Park Leisure Centre and has ample off-road parking in front of the building. The building is an old vicarage which has been converted.
We are the only veterinary surgery in Leek to cover our own out-of-hours services for registered clients. This means that your animals will be seen by one of our vets in familiar surroundings.
