Caring and passionate experienced student, nursing assistant, or RVN - Caerphilly

We are a long established, progressive, PSS accredited practice.

We are looking for a caring and devoted team player with drive and enthusiasm to make a real difference to pets and their owners in our busy, well equipped practice.

The applicant must have a keen interest in consulting, preventative healthcare and client care as well as assisting with routine and non routine surgery. This is a small team so the applicant must be a positive and confident individual and enjoy the challenges of  branch practice.

The position is for 40 hours per week. We offer a competitive salary with paid registration fees, pension, staff discount, CPD allowance and a very good work life balance (no OOH, unless you would like some).

If this sounds like the career step you are looking for, please contact us for an application form and further details.

Company

Valley Vets employ a team of ten veterinary surgeons across our four sites, supported by a team of registered veterinary nurses, trainee veterinary nurses, animal care assistants, reception staff and administrative staff.

About Valley Vets
We currently have four veterinary premises in the Cardiff area. Our two Hospitals co-share with the regional emergency service, V.E.T.S. Ltd. This enables us to provide excellent 24 hour care for our patients and also allows our team a good work/life balance.

Our vets do no out-of-hours work. We start at 08.50, last appointment is 18.00, work 2/7 Saturday mornings, have a day off every second week, 25 days holiday and bank holidays - 59 days off every year to help compensate for the work involved in the amazing care we afford our patients and clients.

We are losing a highly valued veterinary surgeon for personal reasons. Come and meet her before she leaves. Her resignation letter states "I would like to say that this practice is the best I have ever worked in and that I am really impressed with the way that it is managed. I highly appreciate seeing how much this Company cares about its employees. This is something that you don't see very often. Thank you for providing the opportunity to work together with such a great team."

p.s. Nearly forgot, our reception, nursing and veterinary teams spent the May Bank Holiday weekend in Paris as a thank you for their recent hard work...
