AdvantEdge - the next step in your career

At Vets Now we pride ourselves on clinical excellence and that’s why we have recently introduced AdvantEdge, a two week emergency and critical care CPD programme for Vets who possess at least two years post qualification experience in either small animal or mixed practice.

75 hours of free CPD designed by veterinary experts

The AdvantEdge programme contains a minimum of 75 hours of free CPD designed and delivered by veterinary experts. The lectures and practical sessions are delivered by Advanced Practitioners and experienced emergency clinicians at our training facility in Dunfermline. Topics covered include blood gas analysis, managing shock and neurological emergencies as well as practical sessions on CPR and ultrasound. The programme culminates in a cadaver surgery practical and six mentored shifts in clinic.

Kick-start your emergency and critical care

We’ll cover your accommodation costs whilst you are on the programme and you’ll be paid your full salary whilst learning. The next intake of AdvantEdge is on 11th November 2019, however, there is the option of starting in clinic prior to the programme commencing and securing your place. Regardless if you’re looking for full time or part time work, AdvantEdge is the perfect way to kick-start a successful career with Vets Now.

Company

Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from 55 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and three 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 100,000 small animals every year — and during seasonal holidays, like Christmas and Easter, our highly-skilled staff answer around five queries an hour from worried pet owners. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.

We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our three hospitals — in Glasgow, Manchester and Swindon — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
