Veterinary Surgeon - Rosyth, Fife

We are looking for a full-time or part-time Vet. 

Vetrica is a growing three-person 100% small animal surgery. Our main site is situated in Rosyth, which has excellent transport links to Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland. We also have a branch practice in Kelty, 8 miles to the north.

We have a policy of continued investment in the care and well-being of our patients, and are extremely well equipped including: -

• Digital x-ray
• The full Idexx In-house Diagnostic Suite including: Haematology Analyser, Biochemistry, Snapshot Reader
• Ultrasound
• Endoscopy
• Tonometry
• Therapeutic Laser
• Electrocautery
• Intra-operative capnography, pulse oximetry and electrocardiography
• Isoflurane and sevoflurane inhalational anaesthesia
• Oscillometric blood pressure monitoring
• Infusion pump for fluid therapy
• Nitrous oxide cryotherapy

The successful candidate will benefit from a high degree of autonomy with freedom to treat and prescribe as you see fit, being the professional that you are.

The full hours of employment will be discussed at interview, but provides 1 week day off every four weeks, and only one Saturday working per four weeks. We are closed on Sundays, and you will usually only be required to work two late evenings (generally 7pm) per week. There is no 'on-call' work.

Salary includes RCVS fees and professional indemnity insurance.

This position will provide you with a broad range of experience in a supportive environment. CPD is encouraged and paid for. We are looking for the successful candidate to begin work as soon as possible.
