Internship in Veterinary Internal Medicine - Ringwood, Hampshire

Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists is a busy multi-disciplinary referral centre in the heart of the New Forest. We are committed to providing a high standard of patient care, with specialist services in medicine, anaesthesia and analgesia, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, neurology, cardiology, dermatology and imaging.

We are looking for a service specific intern to join our team in medicine. The post will involve working under the direct supervision of our three RCVS and European specialists in internal medicine and to be involved in a wide variety of challenging cases.

Ideal candidates should have one to two years of clinical experience and have already completed a rotating internship. The posts would be particularly suitable for those wishing to pursue a residency in internal medicine. Candidates must be members of the RCVS or eligible for membership, have good English language skills, work well within a team and have enthusiasm for internal medicine.

This position provides a salary of £22,330 per annum, holiday allowance of 28 days inc BHs, a 52 week contract and CPD of £1500 and 5 days. The internship will be for a period of 12 months. There will be out of hour’s responsibilities on a one in four basis working with the on call clinician.
