Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon - Diss, Norfolk

We have an exciting opportunity for a very experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team.

The Practice
Uplands Way Vets, based 20 miles South of thriving Norwich; has served Norfolk and Suffolk for over 100 years. We pride ourselves on being "family vets for family pets".

Our vets, nurses and support staff work hard to provide a friendly and professional service to all our customers and their animals. We have a large team of support staff including RVNs, SVNs and receptionists. We have a spacious purpose-built clinic set within the beautiful Norfolk countryside. We have recently purchased brand new imaging equipment and have separate cat/dog/exotic wards, two operating theatres, a dental suite and prep room. We foster an inclusive and supportive working environment and actively encourage and fund CPD.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a very experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team, ideally strong experience and capable of mentoring less experienced vets, and sole charge to do 8.30am-6pm. We offer 25 days holiday. 1:2 Saturday mornings 1:6 weekends on call, no on call after 10pm weekdays or 6pm weekends/bank holidays. SA practice with some exotic work. We do equine work but have dedicated equine vets for that. With lots of RVN's/ VCA's and a dedicated reception team there's an excellent team supporting our practices. £1500 CPD budget and 5 days/year.

Successful Candidate
You will be a good communicator, having empathy with clients and their pets, and a passion to practice excellent veterinary medicine and surgery, alongside our like-minded team.
