Veterinary Surgeon - Knighton, Powys

Mixed Vet required for an expanding practice.

The Practice
We are a happy, friendly 20 vet independent mixed practice consisting of 4 branches.

Our farm work is mostly Beef and Sheep. The Equine work involves mostly pleasure horses and is currently 10% of our case load, but there is significant potential for growth.

Our small animal clients appreciate 15 minute consults, which are made by appointment only, to ensure time to bond with client and do a thorough job. Fully equipped with blood machine, digital x-ray and ultrasound.

Location
Knighton is beautiful border town with many hills, trails and castles to explore. The Welsh hills are to the West and the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are to the East. Salary to house price ratio amongst the most favourable in the country.

The Package
You will be on a 1 in 5 rota, with 3 vets on call every night, so plenty of support is available at all times. We believe our team benefits hugely from including both new graduates and more seasoned vets all working alongside each other to share knowledge and experience.

We encourage personal development and training in whichever aspects of mixed work you enjoy the most and our more experienced vets enjoy nurturing and supporting their areas of interest. There is also the potential to get involved in high-level poultry work.

No evening surgery, the office closes at 5:30pm.
