Veterinary Surgeon - Darlington, Co Durham

The Practice
Nice, long established, independent practice, friendly approachable staff, good [mainly!] clients, usual kit, quirky premises recently refurbished, more Yorkshire Vet than Supervet. Darlington with a small branch at Newton Aycliffe.

Location:
In the centre of Darlington, a pleasant market  town, plenty of leisure and night life, close to the coast and countryside, easy reach of Newcastle and York.

The Role
We are a first opinion GP practice so the job involves a mixture of consulting and surgery, equally shared, most of the stuff we do is fairly routine, mainly dog and cat with a smattering of rabbits, small furries and the odd hen. We strongly believe in providing a good all round service for our patients and still do our own OOH and weekends, OOH is not normally very busy and there is always a duty nurse to help out. 

Successful Candidate
Attitude is probably more important than experience, we want someone who actually enjoys being a vet. The usual- caring, good team member, GSOH, keen to learn new things.

We have quite a few, more mature vets, so there is plenty of support for somone new, equally we would love to have someone with some experience and some new ideas.  

The Package
CPD allowance of £1,000 with two CPD days as extra time off if needed, RCVS fees paid, pension scheme, 25 days holiday accommodation available if wanted.
