Job Details

Pride Veterinary Centre, part of the Scarsdale Group is a dedicated veterinary practice in Derby offering a veterinary hospital, veterinary referrals, emergency pet care, pet resort and preventative pet healthcare.

We are a privately-owned practice so therefore we retain a family feel to our practices and we very much want you to be part of our family.

Our nurses care for both primary and referral patients from simple to complex cases.  It’s an extremely rewarding career and all nurses are able to use a wide range of skills including feeding tubes, chest drains, hydrotherapy and airway management.

The Wards team is friendly, supportive and passionate about providing the highest standard of care to our in-patients.  Each day is different and we are always expanding our knowledge and learning new skills.  As well as In addition to your nursing colleagues, you will be working alongside our referral and first opinion vets, interns, residents and our kennel assistants.

Working from our Pride Veterinary Centre in Derby, we have a dual role where we are seeking a veterinary nurse who is competent in caring for our ward patients plus providing hydrotherapy treatments. The role would be split 50/50 between both areas.

Ideally, we would like our nurses to have experience of providing hydrotherapy treatments and membership of an accredited association, however this is not essential as we can support a veterinary nurse with a keen interest in gaining hydrotherapy skills and qualifications.

Career development is something we very much support within the Scarsdale Group of veterinary practices and we support each other throughout the day to nurse our patients to the highest standards.
