Vet Data Scientist Large Animal - Northern Ireland

We are looking for a farm animal veterinarian to work in an innovative and growing company. You should have a passion for technology and a strong interest in farming.

Based in Northern Ireland, you would play a key role in empowering our customers to make better decisions. You should have a good understanding of the metrics that drive productivity and profitability of livestock farms particularly in relation to Animal Health.

You might have direct experience of running a veterinary practice business. You should have a good understanding and interest in data including the processing and communication of data or information and an advanced level of microsoft Excel as well as farm management softwares or vet practice management softwares, precision livestock farming technologies, cow worn technologies, vet laboratories, government or national animal records and milk or herd recording services.

Knowledge of relational database structures and data warehousing. In this role you will work closely with the CEO and vets including customers and partners to meet business objectives. You need to be able to communicate effectively with vet customers, their suppliers and their farm clients. As your knowledge of the business grows and your confidence in the product grows it is important that you would be wiling to present at industry events when necessary the content and vision of the vision of the data system. Working autonomously is important in this role and flexible working hours as well as a proportion of hours available to be worked from home are a possibility.
