Veterinary Clinical Pathologist at Axiom Veterinary Laboratories
Would you like to be part of a growing, successful veterinary diagnostic laboratory group in the United Kingdom.
We are looking for clinical pathologists to join our team. Our Laboratory is based in Newton Abbot in Devon. Full & part time applications will be considered but the ideal candidate will be based on-site at the lab.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Microscopic analysis and reporting on all clinical pathology submissions including cytology, fluid analysis, urinalysis, electrophoresis and pathology haematology reviews, following the standard recommended reporting protocol.
- Involvement in the interpretation & validation of all submissions to support the internal medic team and as required by the laboratory when time and workloads allow.
- Consulting on phone calls from clients relating to a previous, current and future submissions as well as general clinical pathology questions as required.
- Participate in all stages of the quality system (pre-/post-/analytical phases), including suggestions for innovations to improve/develop the company.
The ideal candidate will be residency trained with board certification, however applicants with other post graduate qualifications or suitable experience would also be considered. Applicants need to be current members of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, see www.rcvs.org.uk/registration; or be willing to become members.
