RVN - West Sussex

Ferring Street Veterinary Surgery is an independent, small-animal practice with two branches in Ferring and East Preston on the beautiful South Coast of England. We are located between the sea and the South Downs National Park, with direct road and train links to Chichester, Brighton and London. Our mission is to provide a welcoming and reassuring practice for our clients and patients whilst maintaining an excellent standard of care and service. We also aim to provide our team members with the clinical and emotional support needed to perform to the best of their ability at work.

We are an RCVS accredited practice and an approved vet nurse training practice with 3 clinical coaches. We believe it’s important to train future veterinary nurses and provide a supportive environment for this. Continuing professional development is encouraged for all team members.

Both of our practices are modern and fully equipped to provide medical and surgical services to our patients. We have recently upgraded our ultrasound machine and have a Storz endoscopy tower allowing us to perform laparoscopic ovariectomies, laparoscopic biopsies, cystoscopy and rhinoscopy. We also have separate dog and cat wards, multi-parameter monitoring and digital radiography.

Successful Candidate

We are looking for a fully qualified, passionate and down to earth veterinary nurse who wants to be part of an enthusiastic and hardworking team. We want someone who loves their profession and is always striving to learn more and provide the best level of care for their patients.

The Position

You’ll be joining our existing nursing team of 5 RVN's and 2 SVN's. Your role will include anaesthesia, radiography, inpatient care, laboratory work, assisting with surgical procedures, nurse clinics and more.

• Full time (part time or school hours considered for the right candidate).
• Fixed weekly rota with weekend work shared between nurses (currently 1:4).
• No OOH call outs, occasional inpatient evening checks are shared between nurses.
• 4 weeks holiday allowance, plus bank holidays.
• RCVS Membership paid.
• Salary commensurate with experience.
