Emergency Veterinary Surgeon - Maidstone, Kent

Newnham Court Veterinary Hospital is looking for an Emergency vet to join our highly experienced and friendly team on a full time, permanent basis.

We offer 24-hour cover for not only our clients, but to our subscribing practices in the surrounding areas.

Our fully equipped and modern hospital offers two operating theatres, x-ray, dental and ultrasound suits, an isolation ward, separate cat and dog wards, an on-site laboratory and all the latest “toys”.

About the Role

You will be working as an emergency OOH vet as part of a four-vet team. The role requires you to cover 7 night shifts and 2 days on a 1:4-week rota leaving you with plenty of free time, promoting a healthy work/life balance. You will be supported by our highly experienced team of Critical Care nurses. This is an exciting opportunity, that offers great flexibility and a varied workload.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced and dedicated night vet with a passion for emergency and critical care - who enjoys working to high standards. It is important that you are confident with a sole charge role and can work within a busy hospital environment. You must be fluent in written and verbal English, with good communication skills. Previous experience using the RX Works Practice Management System is an advantage, but full training will be given.
