Veterinary Surgeon - Bedfordshire

We are searching for an experienced Small animal vet who can complement our team of 7 vets in Leighton Buzzard. We work 4 days a week. You will be working alongside 3 certificate holders. We have weekly clinical meetings and consider a team approach vital to all problems in the clinic. Certificate training is encouraged and funded. 

The Practice
7-vet independent one site clinic with 100% small animals where you will be working along side 3 certificate holders (surgery, feline medicine, ECC). The management changed in 2017 and since then we have been striving towards the highest level of clinical work possible. All the usual toys are present. We believe in a strong team approach for general decision making on a clinical and management level. 

The Role
Experienced vet who is keen to work up her or his own cases and will be fully supported throughout the process. A certificate holder or person studying towards a certificate would be our preference and very experienced vet will also be considered.

We are working a 4 day week with one finish at 5pm. There is no sole charge. Saturday mornings are worked on a rota basis, 1:3.We share the out of hours equally amongst the vets for the weekend and nights, 1:6.

Successful Candidate
An experienced pro active vet who is keen to work in a team with strong communication skills. The successful candidate needs to be able to be keen on improving his or her clinical level. An open mind and flexibility are important characteristics related to the clinical work and the running of the clinic while we are a growing practice as strive to work to the highest clinical level. The candidate needs to be a team player and be able to be reflective of his or her own work.
