Veterinary Surgeon - Central Scotland

A position is available for an experienced full time permanent veterinary surgeon in a small animal practice.

The Practice
We are a small animal only, 3 vet, independent practice with friendly happy staff to assist us in providing the best service we can to the local community. We have an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ECG and Ultrasound. We have a well-stocked library of text books and funded CPD. We openly discuss our cases between us for support and continued learning from each other.

Location
Located south east of Glasgow, with good train services to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Close to the motorway providing easy access to other destinations, countryside within a short distance.

The Role
We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to fill a 39 hour average week, with a 4 day week and a shared Saturday morning rota. No on call or full weekends. Operating 2 mornings a week. The rota is based on 2 vets covering each day.

Successful Candidate
The ideal candidate would have enough experience to be able to perform routine operations without assistance from another veterinary surgeon and capable of consulting on their own when necessary.  As we can be quite a busy practice at times this is not a suitable position for a new graduate.

Full clean driving licence required. RCVS registration should already be in place.

The Package
Salary is dependent on experience, CPD funded, VDS cover provided.  Temporary accommodation can also be provided in a shared flat if required. Practice vehicle available for house calls.
