We have a fantastic and unique opportunity, suitable for a recently graduated vet!

Our Practice is mature and established, and enjoys a highly varied caseload encompassing all areas of small animal veterinary work. Our surgery was purpose built, designed to industry leading standards, and has state-of-the-art facilities and equipment; combined with our veterinary team’s expertise we are able to undertake both medical and surgical cases in-house to an advanced level.  For the successful applicant, this position will provide both breadth and depth of case exposure, working in a really supportive environment. Our veterinary team are highly experienced, and enjoy working to top standards, making them great colleagues to both experienced and recently graduated vets alike. We have also invested heavily in building and developing a great support team, so you will be surrounded by a competent qualified and student nursing team, and a friendly, professional, team of receptionists.

For those seeking support and coaching, regardless of your time qualified, we believe that a more flexible approach to your development is preferable, and you will work closely with our Practice Manager and Clinical Director to design a development journey that is individual to you and your needs, with the emphasis on you becoming a knowledgeable, competent, and confident vet, who enjoys great job satisfaction.

In additional to extensive clinical and pastoral support, your benefits package will include payment of your professional fees, CPD, and a great range of discounts and rewards you’d expect from working in a Practice associated with the Pets at Home Vet Group. We also believe a sensible work:life balance is critical to your development and success. As a full time vet you will be working c.35 hours per week in the surgery, to include 1-in-3 weekends, as well as very light on-call duties of 1 week night every 3 weeks. We are prepared to support the right person so that they feel confident to take on these sole-charge shifts.

The successful candidate for this position will take a positive approach to their veterinary career. They will recognise the unique value of this opportunity, and will be keen to grasp the chance to work with a team who are looking to dedicate their time and resources to their development. This vacancy would be suitable for a vet at any stage of their career - team culture is important to us, and we are keen to invest in the right person, not simply fill a vacancy.

If you would like to find out more about this position, and you share our passion for working to high clinical standards, delivering outstanding pet healthcare and backing it all up with great customer service - and you have a sense of humour to match - then we would love to hear from you.
