This is an exciting time for Hartpury, as from September 2018 we became both a university and a college on a single campus; this is an amazing achievement in the history of our institution, particularly in our 70th year. As an institution renowned for excellence in sport, equine, animal and land based curricula, we aim to provide a unique high quality experience in a focused and supportive environment, challenging our learners in the pursuit of excellence.

We are looking for a Senior Lecturer in animal therapy and/or welfare to complement our existing team, which has strong relationships across a range of animal industries, academic institutions, sport, animal charities, and the equine and veterinary sectors.  

You will have previous experience of teaching in Higher Education in a relevant subject area. You will also demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching, learning and promoting a positive student experience, with a collegiate approach to working. You will enable students to maximise their potential through access to inspirational, research-informed and applied teaching and learning. You will support the development of graduate attributes to enable them to succeed in the animal sector.

You will possess a relevant postgraduate qualification and will also demonstrate a willingness to develop a record of practice and scholarship aligned to the focus of the Animal Welfare Research and Knowledge Exchange Arena.
