Small Animal Vet - West Berkshire

New member of our exceptionally friendly highly engaged team required. Never be too tired to enjoy your own time and gain the satisfaction of taking time with your cases.

The practice:
We are a relaxed, friendly, highly engaged team working in an unhurried manner to put our clients’ minds at rest and return their animals to full health as swiftly as possible.

The role:
We work 8.30am til 6pm four days a week and 8.30am til 1pm on one day a week. We don’t do any routine consulting at the weekend.  We need a team player to consult, operate and work-up cases with an experienced colleague.

We do the work for the local Dogs Trust kennels and so twice weekly visits and regular routine ops might be part of the role.  We have a terrific RVN and two very capable trainees. We encourage and support certificate study.

Successful candidate:
A committed and light hearted team player who wants a satisfying job that doesn’t make them so tired that they can’t enjoy the rest of what life has to offer!

The package:
A competitive salary according to experience, a mobile phone, use of a company van when required, heavily discounted treatment of your own animals (we’ve all got dogs and we bring them to work!). RCVS retention fee, VDS cover, BSAVA membership, BUPA cover and five days of CPD. Plus REGULAR HOME BAKING!

Location:
Near to the market town of Newbury in a leafy, rural location. The towns of Reading, Oxford, Swindon, Andover, Winchester and Basingstoke are all very nearby. London is less than an hour by train.

Both the main surgery and branch practice are set in large country houses, away from the road, with loads of safe parking and good dog walking for lunchtime breaks.
