RVN - N Devon/N Cornwall Border

Full-time permanent and part-time maternity cover positions available. Main duties between our Stratton/Bude and Bradworthy branches.

The Practice
Come and join our friendly, dedicated and supportive team of nurses, in a location which boasts access to the moors and glorious coastline of North Cornwall and Devon. The practice has four dedicated small animal branches (Stratton, Bradworthy, Camelford and Holsworthy) along with separate farm and equine facilities. We have a varied first opinion caseload, with certificate holders in ophthalmology, and visiting orthopaedic and equine surgeons along with interests in exotics, cardiology, dermatology and homeopathy.

The Role
The role is a general nursing position. Duties are rotated and include kennels, theatre, prep, and nurse clinics. Areas of special interest encouraged and supported.

Location
Our Bradworthy branch overlooks the large village square where there’s ample free parking! It’s a small, traditional surgery which plays a vital part in the lives of the local animal owning community. Bradworthy is an extremely popular village in North Devon. It boasts a superb pub, beautiful church, a variety of shops (butchers, general stores, furnishings), an excellent primary school and active local hall.

The Stratton branch sits at the top of the hill going down to stunning Bude where you can enjoy surfing, swimming in the huge sea pool, pubbing, crabbing, clubbing, walking. There are sports teams galore, including rugby, football, hockey, surf lifesaving. Plus schools, health care centre, supermarkets and everything you need for a great work life balance! Penbode are currently building a brand new, state of the art, small animal surgery next door to the current building, which is due to open in Spring 2019!
