Job Details
A work life less ordinary begins now
A Vet Surgeon in Hull will find challenging cases and situations far removed from day practice – perfect for learning and career development. This vacancy presents an ideal opportunity for a Vet looking to develop both their emergency medicine and surgery skills without committing to a full time role. We will build the predictable six week rolling rota around the ideal candidate and offer great flexibility across the average ten shifts per month.
Out of hours doesn’t necessarily mean out of reach
The Hull team is complimented by a strong nursing team with a vast experience in ECC and the Senior Vet will mentor, support and offer guidance when dealing with surgeries. The wider network of emergency clinics and specialty hospitals work in collaboration to ensure that we can offer the best emergency and critical care in the country. Whether it’s sharing best practice or seeking advice on a particularly complex case, you will never be alone at Vets Now.

- free holiday accommodation in Arran
- 50% discounted staff pet care
- death in service of two times annual salary
- membership of employee wellbeing programme

Celebrating success
As well as providing a competitive package of rewards and benefits, we also take pride in celebrating our successes. This includes hosting an annual awards ceremony for those who have exceeded expectations. Clinical staff are also encouraged to attend our annual ECC Congress, the largest in the UK, which features an array of internationally accredited speakers, delegates and exhibitors.
At Vets Now we are passionate about training and the on-going development of our employees. If this vacancy is of interest and you feel you would benefit from a supported route in to our business then AdvantEdge may be perfect for you. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK.
