Veterinary Surgeon - Diss

We are recruiting for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our team.

The Practice
Uplands Way Vets is a well-established veterinary practice, we have been in Norfolk and Suffolk for over 100 years. We pride ourselves on being "family vets for family pets".

Our vets, nurses and support staff work hard to provide a friendly and professional service to all our customers and their animals. We have a large team of support staff including RVNs, SVNs and receptionists. We have a spacious purpose-built clinic set within the beautiful Norfolk countryside. We have recently purchased brand new imaging equipment and have separate cat/dog/exotic wards, two operating theatres, a dental suite and prep room. We foster an inclusive and supportive working environment and actively encourage and fund CPD.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team, ideally with at least 2 years’ experience and capable of sole charge to do 8.30am-6pm. 1 in 2 Saturday mornings until 12pm. 1 in 6 on call small animal only. Out of hours cover provides production-based pay and is limited to until 10pm on weekdays and until 6pm on weekends and bank holidays. 1 day off every 2 weeks to compensate for the Saturday mornings (or half day every week). 1 weeknight on call per week. Friday off after weekend on call.  No weeknight on call after weekend on call.

Successful Candidate
Large and varied caseload (medical and surgical).  You will be a good communicator, having empathy with clients and their pets, and a passion to practice excellent veterinary medicine and surgery, alongside our like-minded team.
