Job Details

We are looking for an experienced RVN (Referral experience not essential) to join our small friendly team to assist us with providing an exceptional level of care to our referral patients.

The Practice
Ridge Referrals is a small animal orthopaedic referral practice specialising in arthroscopy.  

We see a varied orthopaedic caseload (including trauma cases) of dogs and cats. Our team currently consists of one surgeon, one intern (12 months placement), five qualified RVN’s and one cleaner.

Beautiful rural location, you need to be happy to drive on country lanes to get here (definitely would need your own transport).

The Role
The position is full-time (40 hour working week plus 2 hours of paid lunch/supper breaks).

Currently the weekly rota hours can vary between 7.30am Monday and 7pm Friday and may include a night duty to care for our hospitalised patients. All night hours worked at the practice count towards the 42 hour working week. 

Usually the rota will allow for a day off after working the night shift. Some weeks you may work compressed hours over 4 days rather than 5 days.

There are no routine weekend duties. Nursing duties include surgical nursing, anaesthesia, imaging (including CT scanning), in-patient care and cleaning/maintenance/sterilisation of our vast range of orthopaedic equipment and implants.

All necessary training will be provided. No accommodation is provided with this position (except for night shift).

Successful Candidate
We are looking for an experienced RVN who is enthusiastic, flexible and self-motivated with an ‘attention to detail’ mindset who would enjoy being part of our small friendly team.

The package
Generous salary and CPD package provided. CPD is very much encouraged. Usual 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (5.6 weeks paid holiday per year total).
