ECC Vets (Full or Part time) – Medway, Kent

We are looking for highly motivated and caring vets to become vital members of our group by working in our new OOH services.

The Practice
We are a private, family owned, 4 branch group of veterinary surgeries in Medway Kent who are excited to be expanding our services to include providing our own out of hour and continuous care service from 7th January 2019. We already have fabulous teams of vets, nurses and receptionists that work the day shifts in the group and we would like to add new staff members to compliment the team further covering ECC work outside of our current opening hours.

The branch that will be open 24 hours a day is on a business estate so there is plenty of parking facilities overnights, with CCTV and flood lighting so security and noise pollution is not a problem.

The Role
We are looking for confident, caring and passionate vets with preferably 3 years UK experience to work with us in this exciting new venture. The ideal candidates will have strong surgical, medical and diagnostic skills and be confident to work as sole charge. They will have the support of experienced RVNs and receptionists as well management staff.

We envisage the day shifts being 8am to 6.30pm and night shifts starting at 6pm and ending at 8.30am the following day. Additionally, we will also be opening from Saturday at 12pm right through to Monday at 8am, involving a variety of day and night shift patterns during this time. Currently we are looking for cover for 4 nights of the week, in blocks of 2 at a time, and day shift cover for 7 days of the week. Shift patterns are negotiable for the right candidates.

Full use of our current facilities will be available including: digital x-ray, in-house laboratory and ultrasound.

Successful Candidate
As an independent, family run business our staff are all expected to be flexible and willing to help others as well as being approachable for both staff and clients alike.

Ideally candidates will already have experience in ECC work and will bring new ideas to this role. They should also be an excellent communicator at all levels.
